Happy New Year!! [2019] (｀・ω・´)”

(´ω｀★) Happy New Year you nerds!! I've been doodling a lot and am tempted to make a Sketchbook Tour video soon... 2018 was a rough year tbh, but I'll do my best to make 2019 be a positive renewal for moi ^^

Been doing a lotta character designing for the cast in very recent times and I still gotta thumbnail and plot out the first chapter [BOX] ... But I am covering a lot of ground ! Been coming up with some fun logic and I have some illustrations in mind to work on !! ^^ The WIP shot provided on this particular post is a digital painting-in-progress which is still in the rough sketch phase [anomaly] !! I am really liking how this piece [anomaly] is turning out thus far and I am excited to pick that piece up again soon (hopefully)!!

I recently entered a contest being held by the creators of the best mobile digital painting app ever: Procreate. The contest rules were to create an entire illustration using only their app (Procreate), and in doing so, you make use of their latest addition feature: "QuickShape" tool. If you go to my [art of yoozhu] page on this site, and scroll down to the portfolio section, you'll see my piece [triptych]. [triptych] is my entry for the contest. ! Procreate will be announcing the winners on 8 January 2019 !! The first and second place prizes seem pretty sweet, so I actually do hope I win !! ^^ We'll see ! So I already have a couple things to look forward to already !!

I feel as if I've been lacking concentration and motivation to actually do some actual drawing lately since as early as Christmas tbh. Been kinda lacking motivation probs cuz of the arrival of 2019 and I was getting sick of 2018... But I hope to get back in the swing of things ASAP ^^
